Full Description: Ben's Comments: Stream of Conscious-like I had a friend walk into my office one evening, all flushed. He looked like he had just seen the most beautiful girl in the world, and he talked like it. "Ben, you wouldn't believe it. I... I've never been so affected by a thing in my life", and on it went. He was talking about a piece of land which, as it turns out, is one and the same as this Very Special Ocean View Property. The property is called "Rancho Pinuelas", and it is a truly magical place. I have now experienced the enchantment and understand what my friend had so very ineloquently been trying to express. This is a profoundly beautiful piece of property. It is far enough from any of the main roads to ensure quiet and privacy, yet close enough to have THE view. The Osa Peninsula, all the way up to Manuel Antonio. Thats cool, but for me, my money is on the view you get when you turn around and look with your back to the ocean. Misty mountains, valleys, and Lord knows how many waterways. I walked back into the finca and stopped at one of the cascading pools. I wanted to determine if the water was fit to drink. One never knows. I was there with Manuel the owner/developer of this piece. He said, "it can't be too bad, it starts right there (he points up into the mountainside) which is on this property. So its about as clean as it can get." I fancy myself a fresh water connoisseur, so I decided to give the test. I leaned over to get a taste. I twizzled it about in my pallet, (thats the term for it amongst us fresh water connoisseurs), I twizzled it. I found both the bouquet and the taste to be... nothing. It was just wet. I haven't had water like this since being super high up in the Rockies years ago, up above timber line where the water is less than a minute born from the rocky mountain top. Just wet, no flavor whatsoever. Year 'round and lots of it. While we were there some kind of animal came along. I have no idea what it was, but it just came along, adding further enchantment to the moment.
